  Bob “Lefty” Robinson , 79, of Grants Pass, OR died Oct. 10, 2008 following a brief bout with pneumonia at Rogue Valley Medical Center.   Bob was born Aug. 8, 1929 in Wichita Falls, TX. He served on theUSS Thompson (DD-627) and USS Strive (AM-117) as a Radar man during the Korean War.

  Bob lived in the Williams/Grants Pass area since 1977. He worked as an Industrial electrician at American Pipe & Steel (Ameron) and Boise Cascade until his retirement in 1991. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Ada Belle and Douglas.
He is survived by wife and best friend, Charlotte;  Sister and husband Carole & Gary Parker, sister-in-law and Husband Joan & Dennis Schimke, children; Robert Robinson & wife Robin Lee, Daniel & wife Thames Robinson, Jody & Husband Scott Traina, and Jon & wife Kelly Robinson. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Laurel, Daniel, Douglas, Elizabeth, Virginia, William, Catherine, Michael, Nikki, Ryan, Jenna, Allison, Lauren, Caroline, and four great-grandchildren.

  Bob was a spirited man with a zest for life and an incredible love of fishing, golfing, and playing duplicate bridge with his
many friends at the Grants Pass Bridge Club. He will be deeply missed by all.
