5/16/03... Ray Driscoll, her brother said....     Doris was married in Long Beach to Don Straley in October 1953. Their marriage produced 4 children; Todd 1955, Monica 1956, Paije 1958 and Kymberly 1962. By the mid 60’s, Doris and Don had divorced. In 1972, Doris married Herb Peterson and moved from South Gate to Grants Pass Oregon where they started raising horses and cattle. A few years later they bought 50 acres of land in Stevensville Montana. They soon acquired a few more horses, pigs, chickens and ducks. There she could do her art work and raise hell in the wide-open spaces. In August 1979, she was planning on traveling to Southern Calif to visit her family when unfortunately; an automobile accident ended her dreams.
